Installing and Typing Chinese Guide

Finally decided to make guide for it since many people couldnt do it and kept asking me. 10 Steps for it.

Requirements - Windows CD

Disadvantage Time might fuck up and change to China time. PC will be 10% in Chinese (file descriptions, dates etc.) In-game font changes a bit but its OK.

Guide

1. Go to Control Panel -> Regional and language options

2. Regional Options tab ->Standards and formats - Chinese (PRC)

3. Languages tab -> Tick both "Install files for complex script right-to-left languages (including Thai) and "Install files for East Asian languages" Now press apply and it tells you to insert Windows CD, so do it and if it requires restart then do it aswell.

4. After restart, open up the same thing and go Advanced tab.

5. Language for non-Unicode programs -> Chinese (PRC) Code page conversion tables - Tick -> Japanese Traditional Chinese Big5 Korean Simplified Chinese GB 2312

Basically you can tick everything, those are just most important.

6. Go back to Location tab and Change location -> China.

7. Now go to Languages tab -> Details and make sure you have there :

CH Chinese (PRC) Keyboard

• Chinese simplified - Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0

If there isnt then hit Add and add it manually.

Note: You can change hotkey when you go Key Settings.

8. When its all done, press OK and right click on the Taskbar-> Toolbars -> Language Bar

9. Now you can see whether you have Chinese or English activated. Possible to change manually or Left Shift + Alt

10. Enjoy typing. You can ask people tell you English signs so you type them in Chinese and SC them.

For example - My ouster name is gu ao chengba -> 孤傲称霸

Note: For harder names you need to change and choose letters with arrow keys
