[edit] Simple Guide to 2Int : 1Dex Vampire
NOTE: This guide was effective for DarkEden International BEFORE the Joymax version, which has a 1x experience rate at the moment. You may have to improvise a little.
When you get started, just keep hitting Dead Bodies until you are level 5. Get to Brykolakas and learn the very useful skill Hands of Wisdom. This will speed up your levelling greatly due to the increased damage, and will remain your primary form of "melee"(it actually has a short range of 2). Apologies to Ttomaster, but Hands of Wisdom remains a overall more useful skill than Bloody Nails for a mainly Int-based vampire. The damage difference isn't that big, if not non-existent, and the range could be qutie useful at times.
After obtaining Hands of Wisdom, continue killing Dead Bodies or Turning Deads until you are at least level 10. You may now either proceed to Lost Taiyan and try your luck with Vandalisers or continue levelling to 15 in Bathory Dungeonb2 before moving on. Either way, when you hit 20, it's time for another change of environment.
Your third grinding spot is Castle Rasen. The monsters at Rasen Outer Castle 1F are sufficient to level you up to 35-40 or so. Yes, be prepared for a loooongg time of grinding and partying. Partying will get you much exp, especially when you have not recieved the Acid Swamp spell. Once you do, however, you can pretty much solo all the way. ;)
Hitting level 45 enables you to invade Rasen Inner Castle 1F. Just be sure not to get stuck in a perma-paralysis by a group of Hell Wizards. That spells certain death. Unless you are in a party, or trying to get to Tepes Lair, I strongly advise against entering Rasen Inner Castle 2F. The inhabiting monsters deal an insane amount of damage, and Lord Darkness can and will Paralyse intruders. That Lord Chaos also resides there does not help matters.
At around level 55, you should be more than able to solo a Chaos Greed at Raohm Dungeon. If you are sick of getting paralysed all the time at Castle Rasen, this is for you. Mind you, try not to get ganged. Also, slayers are apt to appear sometimes, though if that happens, all you have to do is run or use [[Invisibility]]. ;D
Still on the path of the soloist, make your way to the Holyland of Adam at level 65. With a few [[Paralyses]] and [[Acid Swamps]], soloing a single monster is a piece of cake. Beware of the bosses though. They can be easily recognisible by their unusual colour and massive damage. Also, for some reason, monsters in the Holyland of Adam tend to group together and thus become nearly impossible to clear (for a legitly playing non-speed-hacking Int vamp). I imagine someone attempting to escape from a monster had gradually attracted the attentions of countless other monsters too. Avoid such situations absolutely. Also, if the monsters are crowded around one of the statues, do NOT, i repeat, DO NOT, attempt to appear in front of them, be it whether you were invisible, a bat, or otherwise. At least 3 monsters in Adam's can paralyse, and the damage they deal isn't very funny.
If you prefer group activities, now's the chance. At level 78 you gain the [[Bloody Wall]] spell. This spell turns you into a wonderful and much sought-after party member in Raohm Dungeon B2, where the spawn is plentiful and pretty much in the same spot. With enough [[Bloody Walls]], levelling will be a breeze. (And it's rather fun to watch the monsters being pushed around in the forest of walls. lol)
This is pretty much everything. Raohm Dungeon B2 will get you straight to level 100. And after that, it's back to Adam's again!
Note: For optimum levelling(and survival), i recommend not placing any stat points into INT until you have 45 DEX, after which, you should pump all stats into your INT till you are level 46. At that point, begin adding 2 to INT and 1 to DEX every level.
This is due to the fact that low-level vampire skills are pretty much useless, and the DEX will help you greatly during your non-magical levelling, much more than having tons of INT which you cannot use fully anyway. However, at level 46 you gain the [[Acid Swamp]] spell, which DOES require a ton of INT and makes full use of it too.(check out the damage)
I should also say that I do not condone the idea of having 240 DEX. I would say the maximum DEX you should have is 200. You don't really need the full-screen glide, seeing how as you're already a ranged attacker and wouldn't be in the heat of the battle and taking damage nor need such a redundant speed. Having that much DEX would also cut down on the INT that you will have, thus limiting your damage. However, this is just my two cents on it.
This ends my brief "guide". Be sure to check out Slayer Guide as well!
